Blogiversary, Thirftbooks, and more!

a-book-a-week-image.jpgSo this post is going to be a few things, but to start, it’s almost this blogs anniversary! So, a big thank you to everyone who’s followed, liked, or commented!

Oh, yes, I’ve mentioned this website a few times I think, but I found a new place to get books! It’s thriftbooks.com where you can find almost any book for a good price! They are used books, and there could be many editions of the books, and they might be out of stock, but it’s still a great site to help a reader on a budget! If I were you, I would stick to the better than good conditions because I received two books from this website that were falling apart. But that’s what I get for shopping online!

And it’s winter, so Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, or Happy any other holidays you might celebrate.

But, because it is that time of year, I got new books! Now, I got myself a signed (yes a real, actually signed copy) of Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas, and the Throne of Glass coloring book. But, for Christmas, I got Bitterblue (Graceling Realm #3) by Kristin Cashore, the whole Firebird series by Claudia Gray, two books in the Healer series by Maria V. Snyder and lots of pajama bottoms!

So this is my short and brief hello to you all and a thank you. Have a wonderful holiday season, and as always, feel free to comment or ask questions or suggest books!

The Next Book Wait

Does anyone else ever feel this way?

Well I’m glad it isn’t only me. I’m going through this right now with the Throne of Glass  series by Sarah J. Maas, and I just, can’t. Just a heads up on anyone who’s planning on reading it and hasn’t, it devastated me. But, it was also so very, very good. I’ll have a full review to come, but I’m not sure when.

When I run into this type of situation, with a book or  TV show, I find myself in that weird, shocked, depressed mood where I have no idea what to do with my life anymore. Sometimes I have a hard time pulling myself out of it, and I don’t know how I do it half the time.

So my question for you is this. What do you do after you finish a book and the sequel won’t come out for a year or more? What about after you finish an entire series? How do you get out of dwelling on it to much, if you even have this happen to you?

I want to know what you do so I can try them myself and maybe not slip deeper than I know I should!

Also, what do you do while reading? Personally, I like to listen to wordless music, I even have a  playlist!

Remember to have a good week everyone, someone has to light up your day, and if no one else, why not do it for yourself?
